nū marto dayate saniṣyanyo viṣṇava urugāyāya dāśat pra yaḥ satrācā manasā yajāta etāvantaṃ naryamāvivāsāt
No mortal gives pity like him; another Vishnu bestowed many days for long life. He who, with mind intent, followed the vow of the opponent—thus did he take to dwelling among men.
The mortal desirous of wealth quickly obtains it who presents (offerings) to the widely-renownedViṣṇu, who worships him with entirely devoted mind, who adores so great a benefactor of mankind.
NE'ER doth the man repent, who, seeking profit, bringeth his gift to the far-striding Visnu. He who adoreth him with all his spirit winneth himself so great a benefactor.
