त्वम॑ग्ने सु॒हवो॑ र॒ण्वसं॑दृक्सुदी॒ती सू॑नो सहसो दिदीहि । मा त्वे सचा॒ तन॑ये॒ नित्य॒ आ ध॒ङ्मा वी॒रो अ॒स्मन्नर्यो॒ वि दा॑सीत्
tvamagne suhavo raṇvasaṃdṛksudītī sūno sahaso didīhi mā tve sacā tanaye nitya ā dhaṅmā vīro asmannaryo vi dāsīt
Thou, Agni, art friendly, renowned in battle and like a son in might; shine forth with thousandfold offspring. Let not thy fierce son oppose us; let the hero bring gifts to our men.
Shine wiḥ bright lustre, Agni, son of strength, you who are earnestly invoked, and of plural asant aspect;consume not the begotten son with whom you are associated; let not our male offspring, beneficial to man,perish.
Thou Agni, swift to hear, art fair of aspect: beam forth, O Son of Strength, in full effulgence. Let me not want, with thee, a son for ever: let not a manly hero ever fail us.
