O Vrṣṇa of the forest, O noble Aruṣa, listen now to the speech born of the knowledgeable ones. For Vaishvānara the new‑minded resolve is pure like Soma; he glows for the fair Agni.
I commemorate promptly at the holy ceremony the might of the all-pervading jātavaedasa, the showerer, the radiant; new, pure, and graceful praise issues (from me) like the soma juice (from the filter), to Agni vaiśvānara.
AT Jatavedas' holy gathering I will tell aloud the conquering might of the swift red-hued Steer. A pure and fresher hymn flows to Vaisvanara, even as for Agni lovely Soma is made pure.
