र॒थ॒वाह॑नं ह॒विर॑स्य॒ नाम॒ यत्रायु॑धं॒ निहि॑तमस्य॒ वर्म॑ । तत्रा॒ रथ॒मुप॑ श॒ग्मं स॑देम वि॒श्वाहा॑ व॒यं सु॑मन॒स्यमा॑नाः
rathavāhanaṃ havirasya nāma yatrāyudhaṃ nihitamasya varma tatrā rathamupa śagmaṃ sadema viśvāhā vayaṃ sumanasyamānāḥ
The charioteer who bears the oblation—wherein the weapon of life was struck down—there I set the chariot; O all-pervading one, we are the possessors of good fame and courage.
The spoil borne off in his car, in which his weapons and armour are deposited, is the appropriate oblation of the warrior; therefore let us, exulting, daily do honour to the joy-bestowing car.
Car-bearer is the name of his oblation, whercon are laid his Weapons and his Armour. So let us here, each day that passes, honour the helpful Car with hearts exceeding joyful.
