मर्मा॑णि ते॒ वर्म॑णा छादयामि॒ सोम॑स्त्वा॒ राजा॒मृते॒नानु॑ वस्ताम् । उ॒रोर्वरी॑यो॒ वरु॑णस्ते कृणोतु॒ जय॑न्तं॒ त्वानु॑ दे॒वा म॑दन्तु
marmāṇi te varmaṇā chādayāmi somastvā rājāmṛtenānu vastām urorvarīyo varuṇaste kṛṇotu jayantaṃ tvānu devā madantu
I cover your vital spots with mail and armour; Soma, may you place upon the king the life-giving breath. May Varuṇa make you victorious and make you to prosper; may the gods exult over you.
I cover your vital parts with armour; may the royal Soma invest you with ambrosia; may Varuṇa amplify your ample felicity; may the gods rejoice (at beholding you) triumphant.
Thy vital parts I cover with thine Armour: with immortality King Soma clothe thee. Varuna give tliee what is more than ample, and in thy triumph may the Gods be joyful.
