बृह॒स्पतिः॒ सम॑जय॒द्वसू॑नि म॒हो व्र॒जान्गोम॑तो दे॒व ए॒षः । अ॒पः सिषा॑स॒न्स्व१॒॑रप्र॑तीतो॒ बृह॒स्पति॒र्हन्त्य॒मित्र॑म॒र्कैः
bṛhaspatiḥ samajayadvasūni maho vrajāngomato deva eṣaḥ apaḥ siṣāsansva1rapratīto bṛhaspatirhantyamitramarkaiḥ
Brihaspati, victor, endowed with wealth, leader of mighty hosts and cows, this god dwells among the people. Waters and dwelling-places are his followers; Brihaspati destroys the foe with beams (rays).
This Bṛhaspati has conquered the treasures (of the enemy), and the spacious pastures with the cattle; purposing to appropriate he waters (of the firmament), he destroys with sacred prayers the adversary of heaven.
Brhaspati in war hath won rich treasures, hath won, this God, the great stalls filled with cattle. Striving to win waters and light, resistless, Brhaspati with lightning smites the foeman.
