iyaṃ madvāṃ pra stṛṇīte manīṣopa priyā namasā barhiraccha yantaṃ no mitrāvaruṇāvadhṛṣṭaṃ chardiryadvāṃ varūthyaṃ sudānū
May this (offering) be to you, brought by me with thought and loving obeisance, with external praise. May he who is friendly to us, the two (Mitra and Varuna), accept it, having been stirred and propitious toward you.
This my praise is addressed to you both, and proceeds to you beloved (deities) together with the oblation; the sacred grass is spread before you; grant us, Mitra and Varuṇa an unassailable dwelling, that through your favour, munificent divinities, may be a (secure) shelter.
To you Two Gods is this my thought extended, turned to the sacred grass with loving homage. Give us, O Mitra-Varuna, a dwelling safe from attack, which ye shall guard, Boon-Givers!
