Give the body for tending and the healer too; name the cow with equal care, the beloved one of the home. When others milk the dead, pressing, the seizing kine are milked like the calf.
May the like-formed, benevolent, all-pervading, all humiliating troop (of the Maruts) be promptly with the prudent man; the troop that ever cherishes all that among mortals is designed to yield (them) advantage; and (at whose wil) Pṛśni gives milk from (her) bright udder once (in the year).
E'EN to the wise let that be still a wonder to which the general name of Cow is given. The one hath swelled among mankind for milking: Prsni hath drained but once her fair bright udder.
