pra vāyumacchā bṛhatī manīṣā bṛhadrayiṃ viśvavāraṃ rathaprām dyutadyāmā niyutaḥ patyamānaḥ kaviḥ kavimiyakṣasi prayajyo
Blow forth, O great air, lofty thought, broad-chested, wide-ranging in chariot-speed. Clad in shining darkness, the seer rules; the poet, the kingly one, you abandon restraint.
May our earnest praise proceed to the presence of Vāyu, the possessor of vast riches, the desired of all, the filler of his chariot (with wealth for his worshippers); most adorable (Vāyu), who are riding in a radiant car, and driving your Niyut (steeds), do you, who are far-seeing, show favour to the sage, (your adorer).
I with a lofty song call hither Vayu, all-bounteous, filler of his car, most wealthy. Thou, Sage, with bright path, Lord of harnessed horses, impetuous, promptly honourest the prudent.
