ā yuvānaḥ kavayo yajñiyāso maruto ganta gṛṇato varasyām acitraṃ ciddhi jinvathā vṛdhanta itthā nakṣanto naro aṅgirasvat
Come, youthful poets, desirers of sacrifice, invoke Maruts, calling them to the best place; celebrate their wondrous deeds, let them prosper — thus men sing, those of the Angiras clan, marking the stars.
Ever youthful wise, and adorable Maruts, come to the praise of your adorer; thus augmenting, leaders (of rites), and spreading (through the firmament), like rays (of light), refresh the scanty woods (with rain).
Ye who are youthful, wise, and meet for worship, come, Martits, to the longing of the singer. Coming, as erst to Angiras, O Heroes, ye animate and quicken e'en the desert.
