May the fathers of the world, with hymns, call forth Rudra by day with growth; great, deathless, in the Sushumna we invoke the strong praise for the poets.
Exalt Rudra, the parent of the world, with these hmns by day; (exalt) Rudra (with them) by night; animated by the far-seeing, we invoke him, mighty, of plural asing aspect, undecaying, endowed with felicity, (the source of) prosperity.
Rudra by day, Rudra at night we honour with these our songs, the Universe's Father. Him great and lofty, blissful, undecaying let us call specially as the Sage impels us.
