We have turned back the roar; the banner was the drum’s—“it is ours,” they said. Even-hoofed horses roam; may our charioteers, O Indra, prevail.
Recover these our cattle, Indra; bring them back; the drum sounds repeatedly as a signal; our leaders, mounted on their steeds, assemble; may our warriors, riding in their cars, Indra, be victorious.
Drive hither those, and these again bring hither: the War-drum speaks aloud as battle's signal. Our heroes, winged with horses, come together. Let our car-warriors, Indra, be triumphant.
