Indra did not bear the eldest prize; the famed strength filled the ear. By whom these wondrous thunderbolts were made, at dawn they pierced both foes swiftly.
Indra, bring to us most excellent, most invigorating and nutritious food, wherewith, wonderful wielder of the thunderbolt, the handsome-chinned, you sustain both heaven and earth.
O Indra, bring us name and fame, enriching, mightiest, excellent, Wherewith, O Wondrous God, fair-visored, thunder-armed, thou hast filled full this earth and heaven.
