You are the wondrous bolt, holder of thunder; we call you, great praise-singer of the mountains. May you not covet draught-cattle, chariots, or the spoil of the kine.
Wonderful wielder of the thunderbolt, Indra, the lord of clouds, mighty in resolution, being glorified by us, grant us cattle, and horses fit for chariots, as (you grant) abundant food to him who is victorious (in battle).
As such, O Wonderful, whose hand holds thunder, praised as mighty, Caster of the Stone! Pour on us boldly, Indra, kine and chariotsteeds, ever to be the conqueror's strength.
