यत्र॒ शूरा॑सस्त॒न्वो॑ वितन्व॒ते प्रि॒या शर्म॑ पितॄ॒णाम् । अध॑ स्मा यच्छ त॒न्वे॒३॒॑ तने॑ च छ॒र्दिर॒चित्तं॑ या॒वय॒ द्वेषः॑
yatra śūrāsastanvo vitanvate priyā śarma pitṝṇām adha smā yaccha tanve3 tane ca chardiracittaṃ yāvaya dveṣaḥ
Where the brave have spread their sinew, beloved of the fathers, may the vigorous one strengthen us. Whatever of strength he gives, let it be cordial; may hatred be crushed by the pressed barley and the kine.
When heroes rest their person ns (until abandoning) the plural asant abodes of their progenitors; grant us, for ourselves and our posterity, an unsuspected defence, and scatter our enemies.
Give us, where heroes strain their bodies in the fight, the shelter that our fathers loved. To us and to our sons give refuge: keep afar all unobserved hostility.
