May Indra, our mighty friend, grant us treasures, great and abundant; who is better than the bringer of waters? May Indra, maker of heroes, grant us half the strength of that well-born son of the stream—best of the surging waters.
Affluent Indra, facilitate to us (the acquisition of) vast riches in these our battles; (enable us) to gain the victory; make us prosperous with rain, and with sons and grandsons.
O Indra Maghavan, in these our battles win easy paths for us and ample freedom. That we may gain waters and seed and offspring, set thou our princes on thy side, O Indra.
