इन्द्र॒ तुभ्य॒मिन्म॑घवन्नभूम व॒यं दा॒त्रे ह॑रिवो॒ मा वि वे॑नः । नकि॑रा॒पिर्द॑दृशे मर्त्य॒त्रा किम॒ङ्ग र॑ध्र॒चोद॑नं त्वाहुः
indra tubhyaminmaghavannabhūma vayaṃ dātre harivo mā vi venaḥ nakirāpirdadṛśe martyatrā kimaṅga radhracodanaṃ tvāhuḥ
Indra, with liberal mind bring us beneath the earth’s surface; O giver, do not let offences come near. For mortals have seen the unclean—what grief, they say, at the noisy striking?
Indra, possessor of affluence, we have recourse to you, the bountiful, lord of steeds, be not unfavourable to us; no other kinsman is beheld (by us) among men; who else have they called yo the bestower of wealth?
We turn to thee as Giver, liberal Indra. Lord of the Bay Steeds, be not thou ungracious. No friend among mankind have we to lookto: why have men called thee him who spurs the niggard?
