nū no agne'vṛkebhiḥ svasti veṣi rāyaḥ pathibhiḥ parṣyaṃhaḥ tā sūribhyo gṛṇate rāsi sumnaṃ madema śatahimāḥ suvīrāḥ
O Agni, be to us like a shield against wolves, protector of the realm on the paths. The princes praise that abundant and excellent wealth; the hundred-armed, mighty ones give us strength.
Quickly conduct us, Agni, by unmolested paths, to riches and prosperity; (convey us) beyond sin; those delights which you give to your adorers (extend) to him who (now) glorifies you, and may we, living for a hundred winters, and blessed with excellent posterity, be happy.
Now, Agni, on the tranquil paths of riches come to us for our weal: save us from sorrow. Grant chiefs and bard this boon. May we live happy, with hero children, through a hundred winters.
