Truly the people stray otherwise; the wicked speech I declare hard to bear. Do not let the bright milker’s cow be yoked to the lawless Angiras and Brahman be vanquished.

Direct him who is actually our adversary into a different (course); mighty Indra, who are a hero, the destroyer (of enemies), therefore are you glorified; never may I desist from the praise of the giver of pure (gifts); satisfy, sage Indra, the aṅgirasas with food.

Lead otherwise this present foeman, Sakra! Hence art thou praised as Hero, foe destroyer Him who gives pure gifts may I praise unceasing. Sage, quicken the Angirases by devotion.
