य ओजि॑ष्ठ इन्द्र॒ तं सु नो॑ दा॒ मदो॑ वृषन्स्वभि॒ष्टिर्दास्वा॑न् । सौव॑श्व्यं॒ यो व॒नव॒त्स्वश्वो॑ वृ॒त्रा स॒मत्सु॑ सा॒सह॑द॒मित्रा॑न्
ya ojiṣṭha indra taṃ su no dā mado vṛṣansvabhiṣṭirdāsvān sauvaśvyaṃ yo vanavatsvaśvo vṛtrā samatsu sāsahadamitrān
He who is strongest, Indra, give him to us—may we gain desire and cattle. He who bestows horses and steeds destroys Vṛtra; together with allies he afflicts our foes.
Showerer (of benefits), Indra, grant us a son who shall be most vigorous, a delighter (of you by praise), a pious sacrificer, a liberal giver, who, mounted on a good steed, shall overthrow numerous good steeds, and conquer opposing enemies in combat.
GIVE us the rapture that is mightiest, Indra, prompt to bestow and swift to aid, O Hero, That wins with brave steeds where brave steeds encounter, and quells the Vrtras and the foes in battle.
