You slew a hundred and more in the fore of Shambara’s host, smiting the hostile bands. Where the shafts flew and the armies met, voiced bards praise Bharadvāja and call forth the treasures.
You have destroyed the hundred impregnable cities of the Dasyu, Śambara, when sagacious Indra, you, who are brought by the libation, have bestowed in your liberality riches upon Divodāsa presenting to you libations, and upon Bharadvāja hymning your praise.
Thou smotest to the ground the hundred castles, impregnable, of Sambara the Dasyu, When, Strong, with might thou holpest Divodasa who poured libations out, O Soma-buyer, and madest Bharadvaja rich who praised thee.
