या त॑ ऊ॒तिर॑व॒मा या प॑र॒मा या म॑ध्य॒मेन्द्र॑ शुष्मि॒न्नस्ति॑ । ताभि॑रू॒ षु वृ॑त्र॒हत्ये॑ऽवीर्न ए॒भिश्च॒ वाजै॑र्म॒हान्न॑ उग्र
yā ta ūtiravamā yā paramā yā madhyamendra śuṣminnasti tābhirū ṣu vṛtrahatye'vīrna ebhiśca vājairmahānna ugra
She who is highest, she who is lower, she who is in the middle—Indra lies in the subtle‑breathed one. Through them the slayers of Vṛtra were energized; these mighty powers with great raiment are fierce in might.
Powerful Indra, with these (your protections), whether the protection be little, great or middlin, defend us for the destruction of our foes; supply us, fierce Indra, who are mighty, with those viands (that are needed).
WITH thine assistance, O thou Mighty Indra, be it the least, the midmost, or the highest,- Great with those aids and by these powers support us, Strong God! in battle that subdues our foemen.
