For us indeed you were wondrous to Indra when he approached; O protector, you, Soma’s son, are praised in lofty hymns, increasing the sacred power as in truth.
To that Indra, who of old has rendered us good offices, we address (the praise) that he is plural ased by; we celebrate him when the soma is effused, repeating the prayer that the (sacrificial) food (offered) to Indra may be for his augmentation.
What he hath longed for we have brought to Indra, who from the days of old hath done us service. While Soma flows we will sing hymn, and laud him, so that our prayer may streng. then Indra's vigour.
