तमु॑ नः॒ पूर्वे॑ पि॒तरो॒ नव॑ग्वाः स॒प्त विप्रा॑सो अ॒भि वा॒जय॑न्तः । न॒क्ष॒द्दा॒भं ततु॑रिं पर्वते॒ष्ठामद्रो॑घवाचं म॒तिभिः॒ शवि॑ष्ठम्
tamu naḥ pūrve pitaro navagvāḥ sapta viprāso abhi vājayantaḥ nakṣaddābhaṃ taturiṃ parvateṣṭhāmadroghavācaṃ matibhiḥ śaviṣṭham
May our ancestral fathers of old, newly born, the seven seers advancing with strength, aid us; may the sky shine, the mountains speak their heights, well-minded and excellent by counsels.
To him the seven sages, our ancient progenitors, performing the nine days' rite, were offerers of (sacrificial) food, celebrating with hymns the very strong (Indra), the humiliator of foes, the traverser of the heavens, he dweller in the clouds, whose commands are not to be disobeyed.
Our sires of old,. Navagvas, sages seven, while urging him to show his might, extolled him, Dwelling on heights, swift, smiting down opponents, guileless in word, and in his thoughts most mighty.
