दि॒वो न तुभ्य॒मन्वि॑न्द्र स॒त्रासु॒र्यं॑ दे॒वेभि॑र्धायि॒ विश्व॑म् । अहिं॒ यद्वृ॒त्रम॒पो व॑व्रि॒वांसं॒ हन्नृ॑जीषि॒न्विष्णु॑ना सचा॒नः
divo na tubhyamanvindra satrāsuryaṃ devebhirdhāyi viśvam ahiṃ yadvṛtramapo vavrivāṃsaṃ hannṛjīṣinviṣṇunā sacānaḥ
From heaven not for you alone, O Indra, is the Sun among the gods universally placed. I slew that Vritra which the waters had shut; by Vishnu’s three strides I sought him with comrades.
To you, Indra, as to the sun, all strength has verily been given by the gods; so that, drinker of the stale Soma, associated with Viṣṇu, you mightiest slay the hostile Ahi obstructing the waters.
Even as the power of Dyaus, to thee, O Indra, all Asura sway was by the Gods entrusted, When thou, Impetuous! leagued with Visnu, slewest Vrtra the Dragon who enclosed the waters.
