You prospered, O ancient Indra, the mighty one’s fame with inspiring poetry. May you grant anew this noble seat to our fathers, giving them their share of wealth.
Desirous of opulence, you, Indra, have been an ancient benefactor of Uśanas, the son of Kavi; having slain Navavāstva, you have given back his own grandson, who was (fit) to be restored o the grandfather.
Favouring Usana the son of Kavi, thou wast his ancient strengthener, O Indra. Thou gavest Navavastva. as a present, to the great father gavest back his grandson.
