O people, mighty and thought-bearing, I considered you among men: by a fissure I am with those who are men. Truly on earth we offer you, brave ones, offspring in cattle and waters.
Wielder of the thunderbolt, humble that man who looks upon himself as the greatest among those men of whom I am; we invoke you now to (ascend) upon the earth at the time of battle, and for (the sake of obtaining) sond and grandsons.
Give up the people who are high and haughty to these men and to me, O Thunder-wielder! Therefore upon the earth do we invoke thee, where heroes win, for sons and kine and waters.
