marutvantaṃ vṛṣabhaṃ vāvṛdhānamakavāriṃ divyaṃ śāsamindram viśvāsāhamavase nūtanāyograṃ sahodāmiha taṃ huvema
I invoke the stormy Maruts, the mighty bull, the glowing divine steed Indra; I call upon the trust of all, newly foremost—together I call him here with this oblation.
We invoke on this occasion for his present protection, that Indra who is attended by the Maruts; who is the showerer (of benefits); augmenting (in prowess); the unreviled of foes, radiant, ruling, all-subduing, fierce, the giver of strength.
The Bull, whose strength hath waxed, whom Maruts follow, free-giving Indra, the Celestial Ruler, Mighty, all-conquering, the victory-giver, him let us call to grant us new protection.
