By those with whom the sun dwells, careless and staying within, the sturdy ones were not left wanting; Indra circled the great flood and established the unshakable and steady light for the heavenly space.
By which (juices) being exhilarated you have appointed the sun and the dawn (to their offices), driving away the solid (glooms); you have penetrated, Indra, the mountain, unmoved from its own seat, concealing the cattle.
Gladdened whereby, bursting the firm enclosures, thou gavest splendour to the Sun and Morning. The mighty rock that compassed in the cattle, ne'er moved, thou shookest from its seat, O Indra.
