Whoever contemplates by the fire with pity, with forgiving mind, dawn not with the sun; he does not hunger for hatred, nor age unblest.
(Propitiate him) who shines upon the earth with purifying and enlightening lustre, as the dawns with ligt; him, who like (a warrior) discomfiting (his foes) quickly blazed forth in the contest in defence of etaśa; him, who is satiated (with food), exempt from decay.
Who with his purifying, eye-attracting form hath shone upon the earth as with the light of Dawn; Who speeding on, as in the fight of Etaia, cometh, untouched by age, as one athirst in heat.
