tā nṛbhya ā sauśravasā suvīrāgne sūno sahasaḥ puṣyase dhāḥ kṛṇoṣi yacchavasā bhūri paśvo vayo vṛkāyāraye jasuraye
To those men you give, through glorious fame, heroic sons by the thousand, O Agni; you perform deeds with abundant offerings. Many are the cattle through the strong herds, by the brave yoke of the wolves, by your heroic might.
Grant, son of strength, to men (who praise you), those abundant viands and excellent descendants, (that may contribute) to their prosperity; grant also that copious sustenance from cattle, which by your strength you take away from a churlish and malignant adversary.
Grant, Son of Strength, to men for their subsistence such things as bring high fame and hero children. For thou with might givest much food in cattle even to the wicked wolf when he is hungry.
