nīcīnabāraṃ varuṇaḥ kavandhaṃ pra sasarja rodasī antarikṣam tena viśvasya bhuvanasya rājā yavaṃ na vṛṣṭirvyunatti bhūma
Varuṇa fashioned the low and high realms, he spread the shining skirt of the dawn across the atmosphere. By him the king of the world, the vegetation, the rain rose upon the earth.
Varuṇa has set free the (water of the) downward opening cloud for the (benefit of the) heaven, the earth, and the firmament, thence is the monarch of all the world, watering the soil as the rain bedews the barley.
Varuna lets the big cask, opening downward, flow through the heaven and earth and air's mid-region. Therewith the universe's Sovran waters earth as the shower of rain bedews the barley.
