For whose vow the earth gives food and for whose vow the chieftain is abundant—whose vow makes herbs manifold—may that Parjanya, our sustainer, grant us wealth.
Do you, Parjanya, through whose function the earth is bowed down; through whose function hoofed cattle thrive; through whose function plural nts assume all kinds of forms, grant us great felicity.
Thou at whose bidding earth bows low before thee, at whose command hoofed cattle fly in terror, At whose behest the plants assume all colours, even thou Parjanya, yield us great protection.
