suṣṭubho vāṃ vṛṣaṇvasū rathe vāṇīcyāhitā uta vāṃ kakuho mṛgaḥ pṛkṣaḥ kṛṇoti vāpuṣo mādhvī mama śrutaṃ havam
O Vriṣaṇvasu, in a suṣṭubh measure speak out in the chariot. The hunter Kakuho makes the stag, the seeker, form the body—my dear oblation has been heard.
Showerer of wealth, the praise of your worshipper is addressed to your chariot; (to it), as well as to you, does this distinguished, devoted, embodied (adorer) offer sacrificial food; masters of mystic lore, hear my invocation.
O strong and Good, the voice of him who lauds you well cleaves to your car. And that great beast, your chariot-steed, fair, wonderful, makes dainty food. Lovers of sweetness, hear my call.
