Three radiant ones, O Varuna, three effulgent Dawns—hold them, Mitra, these beams. May the growth of our valor protect the royal vow of the Kshatriya, guarding the ordinance.
Mitra and Varuṇa, you uphold the three realms of light, the three heavens, the three regions (of the earth), augmenting the force of the vigorous (indra) and protecting the imperishable rite.
THREE spheres of light, O Varuna, three heavens, three firmaments ye comprehend, O Mitra: Waxed strong, ye keep the splendour of dominion, guarding the Ordinance that lasts for ever.
