Stand, stewards of Ṛta, holding the chariot of true laws in the highest heaven. There where Mitra and Varuṇa stand youthful, may rain, like sweet mead, pour from heaven upon him.
Guardians of water, observers of truth, you ascend your car in the highest heaven; to him whom you, Mitra and Varuṇa, protect, the rain sends down the sweet (shower) from the sky.
GUARDIANS of Order, ye whose Laws are ever true, in the sublimest heaven your chariot ye ascend. O Mitra-Varuna whomsoe'er ye: favour, here, to him the rain with sweetness streameth down from heaven.
