When the protector of the world does not transgress custom and has not split the sacred shelter, then may Mitra and Varuṇa rest upon us; may we, living beings, be victorious and preserved by them.
Munificent Mitra and Varuṇa, protectors of the universe, (it is yours to grant) exceeding and perfect felicity, such as it is impossible to disturb; bless us with that (felicity), and may we ever be (possessed) of the riches we desire, and be confident of vicotry (over our enemies).
Bountiful guardians of the world! the shelter that is impenetrable, strongest, flawless, Aid us with that, O Varuna and Mitra, and when we long to win may we be victors.
