tatsu vāṃ mitrāvaruṇā mahitvamīrmā tasthuṣīrahabhirduduhre viśvāḥ pinvathaḥ svasarasya dhenā anu vāmekaḥ pavirā vavarta
There Mitra and Varuna milked mightily, drawing out with strong arms; all watered their kine, one purified cow followed the chariot-turning world.
Exceeding is that your greatness, Mitra and Varuṇa, whereby the ever-moving sun has, through (succeeding) days, milked forth the stationary waters; you augment all the (world-illuming) rays of the self-revolving (sun); the one chariot of you two (perpetually) goes round.
This, Mitra-Varuna, is your special greatness: floods that stood there they with the days attracted. Ye cause to flow all voices of the cowpen: your single chariotfelly hath rolled hither.
