Agni and Marut, all-knowing, carried the heaven upward among the hot winds. They, the mild ones, shook with hymns and set the left hand for the sacrificer—attentive to his rite.
Maruts, who are omniscient, since you and Agni abide above the summits of the upper (region) of the sky, do you who cause (your enemies) to tremble, and are the consumers of (our) foes, do you, being plural ased, bestow upon the sacrificer who offers you oblations desirable wealth.
O Maruts, Lords of all, when Agni and when ye drive downward from sublimest heaven along the heights, Shakers of all, rejoicing, slayers of the foe, give riches to the Soma-pressing worshipper.
