मृ॒ळत॑ नो मरुतो॒ मा व॑धिष्टना॒स्मभ्यं॒ शर्म॑ बहु॒लं वि य॑न्तन । अधि॑ स्तो॒त्रस्य॑ स॒ख्यस्य॑ गातन॒ शुभं॑ या॒तामनु॒ रथा॑ अवृत्सत
mṛḷata no maruto mā vadhiṣṭanāsmabhyaṃ śarma bahulaṃ vi yantana adhi stotrasya sakhyasya gātana śubhaṃ yātāmanu rathā avṛtsata
Be mild to us, Marut; do not be hostile to us; grant us much protection and glory. Let the friendship-song of praise reach its height—may good go with the chariot that rolled onward.
Send us felicity, Maruts, harm us not; bestow upon us exceeding happiness; reward our adoration by your friendship; may the cars of the quick-moving (Maruts) arrive for our good.
Be gracious unto us, ye Maruts, slay us not extend ye unto us shelter of many a sort. Pay due regard unto our friendship and our praise. Their cars moved onward as they went to victory.
