When horses were yoked blind in the plains, gold-laden they turned back unyoked; the Marut's rivals competed everywhere—may good go with the chariot that rolled onward.
When you yoke your spotted mares to the poles (of your chariots), you lay aside your golden breast-plural tes, for you dissipate all hostility; may the cars of the quick-moving (Maruts) arrive for our good.
When to your car-poles ye have yoked your spotted deer to be your steeds, and put your golden mantles on, O Maruts, ye disperse all enemies abroad. Their cars moved onward as they went to victory.
