ā yaṃ naraḥ sudānavo dadāśuṣe divaḥ kośamacucyavuḥ vi parjanyaṃ sṛjanti rodasī anu dhanvanā yanti vṛṣṭayaḥ
They who are men, the good Dānavas, gave gifts, the heavens spoke; they called forth the rain-cloud, the weeping ones follow, the bow-armed bring the showers with might.
Leaders (of the rain), munificent givers, they cause that which is the treasury (of water) to fall from the sky for (the benefit of) the donor (of the offering); they let loose the rain cloud, and the shedders of rain spread (everywhere) with (abundant) water.
Munificent Heroes, they have cast heaven's treasury down for the worshipper's behoof: They set the storm-cloud free tostream through both the worlds, and rainfloods flow o'er desert spots.
