The seer‑poet, like a bull bellowing, excels in rivalry; by mind is the sun a sage. The fragrant one protects us around; may our fame go forth, sheltering in forest pastures.
The sage Sūrya, advancing, accompanied by his bride, (the dawn), proceeds boldly, intent on combat with his enemies; may he on whom riches are dependent, secure our entire felicity, (and grant) a brilliant and everywhere protecting mansion.
Surya the Sage, as if unwedded, with a Spouse, in battle-loving spirit moveth o'er the foes. May he, self-excellent, grant us a sheltering home, a house that wards the fierce heat off on every side.
