Great earth, broad-bosomed, restful in speech, send not the chariot unto the Asvins at the offering. The milk-streams were born as charioteer; the swift chariot bears the treasure not to the navel but to the summit.
May this adoring, earnest, and gratifying praise go like a messenger to summon the Aśvins hither; come, Aśvins, givers of happiness, riding in one chariot, come down to the deposited (Soma), as the bolt (is essential) to the axle of the wagon.
Hither, as herald to invite the Asvins, come the great lofty song, most sweet and pleasant! Come in one car, joy-givers! to the banquet, like the bolt binding pole and nave, come hither.
