अध्व॑र्यवश्चकृ॒वांसो॒ मधू॑नि॒ प्र वा॒यवे॑ भरत॒ चारु॑ शु॒क्रम् । होते॑व नः प्रथ॒मः पा॑ह्य॒स्य देव॒ मध्वो॑ ररि॒मा ते॒ मदा॑य
adhvaryavaścakṛvāṃso madhūni pra vāyave bharata cāru śukram hoteva naḥ prathamaḥ pāhyasya deva madhvo rarimā te madāya
They hung the milks of the cows upon the wind, bearing sweet streams; first among priests they became hot, protecting us—O divine milks, purify them for strength.
Priests, who are preparing (the libation), first offer to Vāyu the delightful and brilliant (Soma); and do you, divine Vāyu, like the Hotā, first drink of this sweet juice, which we offer for your exhilaration.
Adhvaryus, make the sweet libations ready, and bring the beautiful bright juice to Vayu. God, as our Priest, be thou the first to drink it: we give thee of the mead to make thee joyful.
