Let praise and reverence be performed for the heavens, for the cattle, for the earth, O blessed ones. Fathers, mothers, and the honey-voiced chiefs who are friendly, fill us with fame and plenty.
(I purpose) to approach with pious praise, and with oblations, for (the sake of) uninjured heaven and earth may the paternal (heaven), and the sweet-spoken, free-handed, maternal (earth), both enjoying renown, defens us in every battle.
With reverence and fair praise will I bring hither, for sake of strength, exhaustless Earth and Heaven. Father and Mother, sweetof speech, fairhanded, may they, far-famed, in every fight protect us.
