म॒रुत्व॑तो॒ अप्र॑तीतस्य जि॒ष्णोरजू॑र्यतः॒ प्र ब्र॑वामा कृ॒तानि॑ । न ते॒ पूर्वे॑ मघव॒न्नाप॑रासो॒ न वी॒र्यं१॒॑ नूत॑नः॒ कश्च॒नाप॑
marutvato apratītasya jiṣṇorajūryataḥ pra bravāmā kṛtāni na te pūrve maghavannāparāso na vīryaṃ1 nūtanaḥ kaścanāpa
From the Marut-like might unexpected, from the victorious onset I proclaim deeds done. Not earlier was your heroic bounty matched nor any equal strength newly arisen.
We celebrate the exploits of Marutvat, the unrecoiling, the victorious, the undecaying; neither the ancients, Maghavan, nor their successors, have attained your prowess, nor has any one recent attained it.
Let us declare his deeds, the undecaying unrivalled Victor whom the Maruts follow. None of old times, O Maghavan, nor later, none of these days hath reached thy hero prowess.
