The witness, the divine, Kānva the sacrificer, the third of heaven, the joyous, Vāta, Agni, Pūṣan, Bhaga—these sovereign feeders spread abroad the strength of all‑nourishing ones and yoked steeds.
May the divine accepter of sacrifice, of whom the Kaṇvas are the priests, Tṛta, Vāyu and Agni, concurring in satisfaction with (the ruler of) heaven, or (Sūrya and) Pūṣan and Bhaga, and they who are the protectors of the universe, (come quickly) to the sacrifice, as the fleet course rush to battle.
The heavenly Victor, he whose priest is Kanva, Trta with Dyaus accordant, Vata, Agni, All-feeding Pusan, Bhaga sought the oblation, as they whose steeds are fleetest seek the contest.
