kathā dāśema namasā sudānūnevayā maruto acchoktau praśravaso maruto acchoktau mā no'hirbudhnyo riṣe dhādasmākaṃ bhūdupamātivaniḥ
How shall we give reverence with salutations — as the Maruts commanded in speech? May no one among you restrain our thought; great sages do not bind us, may they bestow favor.
How may we (duly) worship the liberal (Maruts) with praise, how adore the Maruts with present praise in a fitting manner, the glorious Maruts with present praise? may Ahirbudhnya contrive nor for our harm; may he be the destroyer (of our enemies).
How may we serve the Liberal Ones with worship, the Maruts swift of course in invocation, the Maruts far-renowned in invocation? Let not the Dragon of the Deep annoy us, and gladly may he welcome our addresses.
