वृष्णो॑ अस्तोषि भू॒म्यस्य॒ गर्भं॑ त्रि॒तो नपा॑तम॒पां सु॑वृ॒क्ति । गृ॒णी॒ते अ॒ग्निरे॒तरी॒ न शू॒षैः शो॒चिष्के॑शो॒ नि रि॑णाति॒ वना॑
vṛṣṇo astoṣi bhūmyasya garbhaṃ trito napātamapāṃ suvṛkti gṛṇīte agniretarī na śūṣaiḥ śociṣkeśo ni riṇāti vanā
O Bull, the womb of the earth rejoices; the third pushed down the waters with true utterance. Agni takes up the ewe with hymns, shorn of hair, and lays it down in the forest.
I glorify with unqualified praise the embryo of the earth-fertilizing rain, the grandson of the waters, Agni, who is threefold, who rages (upon me) not, when travelling with (his) withering rays, but, bright-haired consumes the forests.
Trta praised him, germ of the earthly hero, with pure songs him the Offspring of the Waters. Agn; with might neighs loudly like a charger: he of the flaming hair destroys the forests.
